I found your listing of events and eventualities (in this post and the previous one), underlying the surface statements of the media and politicians very revealing.

There is a kind of logic to a lot of what Bunny Wailer was saying–a West Kingston logic that this society needs to take seriously instead of dismissing out of hand. Its a local logic that has allowed people to unite across the yawning political divide and organize their affairs to their satisfaction in the face of a morally superior state that has offered them very little.

It’s a reality that needs to be dealt with and i’m not sure any of the existing politicians have what it takes to do this–
